The brand includes a variety of gifts and a series of children books that never got published .

Sealand Souvenirs

2013/2016

Sealand is a company that manufacture New Zealand souvenirs in China and import them for Aotea, a New Zealand chain of souvenir stores. It was aimed at tourists.

The director would come up with ideas, and I would produce the design.

Nevis Bluff Little Black Book

2010

The Little Black Book is a series of promotional material attached around a limited edition of wine. It’s a conversation piece, full of amusing quotes and smart illustrations.

I had to come with illustrations inspired by the quotes. It was a very fun job to do.

Paper Doll

2006

Australia.

Paper Doll is a Wedding and Events Organizer.

Objective:
Margaret River, Western Australia, is well know for its world class wine.  It’s romantic vineyards, set in a lush county side makes it a perfect place for Weddings.

Response:
I invented a little creature, half woman, half grape, so Margaret River’s identity and Wedding Bride could blend together in a magical way.
White Wine for the romantic, Red Wines for the passionate.

Illustration of a Pigram Brothers’ song

2006

Australia.

Pigram is a famous Indigenous Band of 6 brothers based in Broome. A true Broome Mix (Indigenous, White, Asian), they are the incarnation of Broome Spirit:

a relax attitude toward life, a welcoming nature and an integration of different cultures.

Words & Music: David & Stephen Pigram
An oomung oomung is a hermit crab, notorious hunters of the night, the best time to catch salmon off the beach!
Late May she’s a starry starry night. Ol’man moon nowhere in sight. Southeast wind playing tricks on my mind. Fingers bent and ready to hold the line. The Scorpion is rising in the east. Orion ah well he’s just gone to sleep. Corvus crow watch him diving down. Simpson Beach seems so far away from town
Catfish don’t you bother me tonight. Oomung oomung scabbin round the firelight. The line tears sideways salmon on the run, Poke them coals ’cause supper here she comes, Can’t explain this feeling but I know it’s high, Don’t really want to know the reason why. Another wave comes crashin’ down around my feet .I’m stoned on fresh air down on Simpson Beach, The Scorpion is rising in the east, Orion ah well he’s just gone to sleep, Corvus crow watch him diving down, Simpson Beach seems so far away from town

Tshirt Design for Arii Creation

2008

Arri Creation,
French Polynesia.

In 2008, I worked for 6 month for Arii Creation as their inhouse designer, I had to design in a polynesian style, flowery pareos, tribal tatoo like design, tikis… It was at first challenging, but very liberating. Designing shapes and colors
without having to worry about text is a real treat!
On this design, I tried to mix up Tahitian, Maori and Chinese
Design. I think it worked. I like drawing shapes that have a
double meaning.

Little Monsters

2009
Vectorial Illustration for Duraban, New Zealand.

Objective:
Representing How Duraban kills harmful microbe a fun, scary yet clean way. Duraban is a molecule that shape itself in a sword on which the bacteria, mold, virus and algae impale themselves.

Response:
An image is worth a thousand words, so I draw the little monsters literally impaling themselves on the molecule. The characters are scary, yet the style of illustration is quite clean and shiny.

Lonely Islander

2008
Design for Arii Creation, French Polynesia.

This is an attempt to try to renew pareo design in Tahiti. Instead of having the typical flower motif, I thought of using a pareo as a canvas for a whole image. Boss didn’t like it, too different…

Now that I look back, I think I was stating to feel lonely and ready to go!

Seamless Design for textile, Arii Creation

2008

Arii Creation,
French Polynesia

After designing the flowers, I tried to convey a different feel, just by changing the colours.

I started with pastels, and worked my way to 70’s colors in the last sample.

It’s amazing how it’s the colours that give the mood.

Seamless Design for Shirt, Arii Creation

2008

Arii Creation.

When I think that some people are wearing my design, it brings tears to my eyes!

Seamless Pareo Design for Pareo, Arii Creation

20028

Arii Creation, French Polynesia.

This seamless pattern has been designed
for pareos, for Mother Day.

In this factory, we couldn’t print more than 6 colours for a design, so I had to choose carefully those 6 colours.

The modern Tahitian

2008

Arii Creation.

This is a attempt to modernise their traditional flowery design in order to attract youger customers.

It worked pretty well and the T Shirt got sold in not time.

Polynesian Camouflage

2008

Arii Creation
French Polynesia.

This is a camouflage seamless patern made out of leaf. Regular camouflage patern is very popular in french Polynesia, I thought that Arii Creation could jump into the trend but with its own twick to it.

The three versions are:
– Green for the forest (Polynesian Island are covered by tropical forest).
– Blue for the lagoon.
– Grey for cloudy days..
